We are pleased to announce the 2024-2025 United Barbadians in Georgia (UBiG) Scholarship Fund Awards and invite you to apply.
2024-2025 UBiG Scholarship Fund
The UBiG Scholarship Fund is dedicated to supporting the educational and professional growth of our community members. This year, we are honored to offer scholarships to individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to their education and career aspirations.
Who Can Apply?
These scholarships are open to UBiG members, family, friends, and eligible dependents of Barbadians who are ready to pursue their educational goals. If you or an eligible family member are interested in higher education, we encourage you to apply.
Scholarship Categories
Mia Mottley Leadership Scholarship
Awarded to students who have shown exemplary leadership skills in school or community organizations. Applicants must submit an essay detailing their leadership experiences.
(Min. 500 words)
Rihanna Fenty Arts & Culture Scholarship
Designed for students who have excelled in the arts, including music, dance, theater, and visual arts. Applicants must submit a portfolio of their work, along with an essay on the importance of art to you and community involvement.
(Min. 500 words)
Sandra Mason Award for Excellence
Supporting adult learners returning to school to pursue higher education or a new career path. Applicants must submit an essay detailing your personal growth and educational goals, and commmunity involvement.
(Min. 500 words)
Polytechnic Award for Excellence
Awarded to students currently enrolled or accepted into an accredited trade school or vocational program. Applicants must submit an essay detailing their choice of trade as well as any community involvement.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: OCTOBER 20, 2024

Step 2: Gather Documentation
Collect all necessary documents, including required essays or portfolios.
Step 3: Submit Application
Complete the online application form and upload all required documents by the specified deadline. Late submissions will not be considered.
