What is the UBiG Barbados Service Trip all about?

This trip is a unique opportunity to return home, give back, and connect with fellow Barbadians through service, culture, and community. Participants will take part in planned activities including cultural outings, group experiences, and a community service project in partnership with local organizations.

When is the trip taking place?

October 9–14, 2025
Participants should plan to arrive in Barbados on Delta Airlines Thursday, October 9th, 9.45am-2.20pm and depart on Tuesday, October 14th, 3.30pm-8.50pm

What is the Day of Service, and who will we be working with?

The Day of Service is the heart of our mission. We’ll be working in collaboration with the Barbados Lions Club and the Barbados Agricultural Society to support the St. Peter Polyclinic Beautification Project.
It’s a hands-on, impactful day where we roll up our sleeves and show love to the community – UBiG will be providing lunch.

Who can participate in the trip?

All UBiG Champions and community supporters are welcome! Space is limited, and priority will be given to those who confirm early.

What’s included in the group experience?

While final details will be provided upon confirmation, the itinerary includes:

Cultural tours
Island excursions
The Day of Service project
Fellowship events with local partners

Transportation and hotel booking will be handled individually, but we are working on securing a group rate.

Will there be free time during the trip?

Yes! While we have structured activities and group events, there will also be free time to enjoy the beach, explore local spots, or connect with family and friends.

What should I bring?

A detailed packing list will be sent to confirmed participants, but essentials include:

Comfortable clothes/shoes for the service day
UBiG shirt this will be included in welcome bag
Casual wear for outings
Sunscreen, and travel documents
All white for all white night

How do I reserve my spot or get more information?

A valid passport
If you are a green card holder you need your green card and valid passport

Is there a payment plan?

Yes with 90 days out from the trip all payments must be made timely and half of the trip is due now. All deposits at this time are non-refundable.

I am traveling by myself can I room with someone to cut down on expenses

Sure, complete our room mate match form and we will match you with a suitable match.

Can I get my own air fare?

Short answer yes – the cost for the hotel/trans/excursions – based on Double Occupancy $920 pp

Question what if I don't want to stay at the hotel?

Sure, you can purchase Air/Transportation/excursions – $ 1161.01
